How are we funded?
Eisenhower Fellowships, a 501c(3) organization, is primarily funded by private donors, including corporate sponsors and foundation grants. A significant portion of our revenue comes from individuals who share our commitment to international understanding through dialogue and collaboration. Approximately 95% of Eisenhower Fellowships’ revenue comes from the private sector.
The program also receives funds from the earnings on a privately-raised capital endowment. In addition, a modest federal trust fund, created by Congress to honor President Eisenhower, generates annual revenue.
The personal engagement of our sponsors and donors with our Fellows and alumni is a key feature of our program. Sponsors and donors are invited to meet with the Fellows during the Opening and Closing Seminars. Corporate and foundation officers also organize site visits, introductions to experts, and discussions with Fellows when the sponsor shares professional, business and international interests with the Fellow and his or her country and region.
